There are four clans of feral cats. Each are known for their own qualities, and each are protective of their members. There are no inter-clan relationships, for one day you may be allies, the next sworn enemies. Each clan has its own territory and camp, along with its own heirarchy, which goes as this:
-Leader [*name ends in -star]
-Deputy [becomes leader if leader dies]
-Warrior
-Apprentice
[there is also a medicine cat, and his/her apprentice]
The cats believe in Starclan, a fifth clan that resides above them in a grouping of stars, where all warriors go when they die. Leaders are given nine lives when they are 'crowned' and are given the suffix -star.
Names:
-as a kit, you get a prefix, and then -kit, as in Leafkit
-as an apprentice to a warrior or medicine cat, you keep your name but the suffix changes to paw, as in Leafpaw
-as a warrior, you get a unique suffix, however prefixes and suffixes will be used over again, as regular names are, such as Leaftail, Branchtail, or Branchfoot
-deputies and medicine cats have names like the warriors
-Leaders get the name -star, like Leafstar
Clans/qualities:
~Thunderclan-known of as brave, valiant, may take in rogues or stray house cats [think Gryffindor for you HP fans]
~Riverclan- like to swim, also like pretty rocks/feathers, vain, slightly greedy [Ravenclaw]
~Wildclan- less brutle, kind, weakest of the clans, cowardish [hufflepuff?]
Shadowclan- greedy, sly, keep to themselves, ambitious [Slytherin]
If you have ever read Erin Hunter's books, the Warriors Series, then this is the RP of those books. Don't worry if you haven't however, that's why I've explained everything up there. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I think we'll get at least two positions in each clan before we begin to roleplay, is that fair?

oh, and one last thing, the Warrior Code!
1.Defend your clan, even at the cost of your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your clan.
2.Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3.Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to the elders.
4.Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5.A kit must beat least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6.Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7.A can cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.
9. After the death or retire of the deputy the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time!
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats!
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the Warrior Code!
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his or her battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defence.
15. A warrior always rejects the soft life of a kittypet!
